Also known as EAL, Equine-Assisted Learning is an experiential program that helps children and adults grow emotionally, socially, and mentally through meaningful interactions with horses.
Guided by trained facilitators, participants engage in structured, ground-based activities with horses that build skills such as confidence, emotional awareness, communication, and trust. Because horses naturally respond to human emotions and behavior, they provide immediate, honest feedback that can help individuals better understand themselves and how they relate to others.
EAL is especially beneficial for individuals who may be struggling with mental or emotional health challenges, including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. Working alongside horses in a calm, supportive environment can reduce stress, improve self-esteem, encourage mindfulness, teach life skills, and promote healthier coping skills.
At The Magical Meadows, EAL sessions are offered in both group and private formats. Group sessions are available for $25 per person per hour, while private 1:1 sessions are $50 per hour, allowing participants to choose the setting that best supports their needs.
EAL sessions will be scheduled based on the availability of both the individuals seeking services as well as the facilitators providing the service. After registration concludes, we will be in touch to share scheduling information.
